Example of Escape Chute System in Inclined position - Calculation of inclined angle.

The RSS inclined escape chute system is designed to be available on demand.   Open the doors pull down on the deployment control arm and the chute releases and slides down the overhead control wire, the chute is then ready for use.  With a dead weight capacity of 800 Ibs or qty 4 x persons the system provides a rapid descent to ground or evacuation level.  For recovery purposes a pneumatic air supply is supplied to a retrieval winch that retrieves the chute back to its stored position.

Risk Safety Systems are currently re-certifying existing Baker Life Chute Systems and in most cases we only need to replace the chutes and overhead guide ropes as the chute containers only requiring minimum maintenance.  Upon inspection and testing Risk Safety Systems issue a twelve month certificate stating that the system is suitable for use.  In all cases annual service inspections are required to ensure the chute system remains operational.
